This is Cochise, my registered mini horse. He is the reason we are all here at the Big Sky Ranch.  It is a long story, but the brunt of it is based on a real stupid moron ditz of a neighbor who couldn't keep her nose on her own side of the fence. Enough said.

If you notice, he has been rolling in the dirt and needs a bath! 

He is my little stallion that I would like to show at an AMHA event, but it will take some training.  I got him as a weanling last fall, so he has just become a yearling and starting to realize his potential (if you know what I mean 8-> )

He runs like a breeze and looks like a full grown pinto.  His proportions and color are perfect for show.  Actually he is classified as a "pintaloosa", because he is a pinto-appaloosa mix.

I named him after Little Joe's horse on Bonanza.  If you don't remember that TV show, you are VERY young!

Cochise and the ducks peacefully occupy the yard together with Cochise stopping once in a while to watch the ducks splash around the pool. Sometimes I think he would like to jump in with them, so I need to whistle and call to him to get his attention that I am watching!  BAD HORSE!
